Rush Sigma Chi at The University of Oklahoma

Sigma Chi is one of the strongest and largest fraternities in the world. We have 223 active chapters throughout the United States and Canada.  As of 2007, Sigma Chi has over 220,000 brothers throughout the world.  On June 13, 2005, Sigma Chi was the first Greek-letter society to be honored by the United States Congress for the fraternity’s 150th anniversary.  Our vision statement is “to become the preeminent collegiate leadership development organization- aligned, focused and living our core values.”  Our mission is to develop values-based leaders committed to the betterment of character, campus and community.  Sigma Chi  best serves its purpose by developing, implementing and monitoring programs that foster leadership, build character and promote positive relationship skills which, in turn, enable our member to become productive and caring participants in their families, colleges and communities.

Sigma Chi is a brotherhood with roots in the collegiate experience that engenders a lifelong commitment to strive to achieve true friendship, justice, and the fulfillment of learning as part of our overall responsibilities to the broader communities in which we live.  We pride ourselves on not being a 4-year social club.  Sigma Chi is a lifelong commitment.  We have one of the strongest and most committed alumni of any fraternity.  Sigma Chi is one of the best fraternities in the world. Joining Sigma Chi has made me a better man, student, and friend.
